The remains of a stone barn foundation. Two hundred years plus several decades of decay, a palate to ponder. Perhaps an outdoor kitchen and patio...perhaps an enclosed guest house...perhaps a rock pile if we don't act quickly.
TheMatthias HarvyeHouse is a 300+ year old private residential enclave. To retain the historic intrigue that only generations of living past can provide, we've created this blog as a way to open the property without infringement on our privacy. The main home and outbuildings date to 1709. To put time into perspective, the Battle of Trenton where General Washington led his troops across the icy Delaware River took place on December 26, 1776. The solidity of these stone structures have withstood two centuries of progress. We ushered in a third century in 2009.
