Perfect Patina

About three years ago we acquired these planters. They had a very "new" finish, which stood out like a sore thumb here. We applied a liberal amount of plain yogurt and horse manure (and a few other things forgotten now). Time has given us an aged patina. Was it the yogurt mix or just time and weather? Whatever the case, we are now happy to have a more mature look.

With June's history of rain we expect some, this has been incredible. The pool water level has been lowered three times. The plants are water-logged and the grass is growing faster than we can cut it. Good news, the ever-consuming job of watering the plants is unnecessary!
Today is a good day for us to organize cluttered closets...or, better still, we check out TCM, maybe a fabulous film will lift the gray out of this day.
